Hope is a good thing

Remember, Red, hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies.

I find I'm so excited, I can barely sit still or hold a thought in my head. I think it's the excitement only a free man can feel, a free man at the start of a long journey whose conclusion is uncertain. I hope I can make it across the border. I hope to see my friend and shake his hand. I hope the Pacific is as blue as it has been in my dreams. I hope. – Andy Dufresne and Red, Shawkshank Redemption

Just getting back on track

Wrong reasoning sometimes lands poor mortals in right conclusions: starting a long way off the true point, and proceeding by loops and zigzags, we now and then arrive just where we ought to be. – George Eliot, Middlemarch

Choose

Man is born as a seed; he can become a flower, he may not. It all depends on you, what you do with yourself; it all depends on whether you grow or you don´t. It is your choice-- and each moment the choice has to be faced; each moment you are on the crossroads. - Osho

So why did I do it? I could offer a million answers, all false. The truth is that I'm a bad person, but that's going to change, I'm going to change. This is the last of this sort of thing. I'm cleaning up and I'm moving on, going straight and choosing life. I'm looking forward to it already. I'm going to be just like you: the job, the family, the fucking big television, the washing machine, the car, the compact disc and electrical tin opener, good health, low cholesterol, dental insurance, mortgage, starter home, leisurewear, luggage, three-piece suite, DIY, game shows, junk food, children, walks in the park, nine to five, good at golf, washing the car, choice of sweaters, family Christmas, indexed pension, tax exemption, clearing the gutters, getting by, looking ahead, to the day you die.

Do it Do it Do it!

Crossroads - Gotta Choose

Most people can look back over the years and identify a time and place at which their lives changed significantly. Whether by accident or design, these are the moments when, because of a readiness within us and a collaboration with events occurring around us, we are forced to seriously reappraise ourselves and the conditions under which we live and to make certain choices that will affect the rest of our lives. – Frederick F. Flack

Simple

Everything is simple --reality is simple. It seems complex only because of ignorance; otherwise everything is simple. Once you know it, it becomes simple. The knowing is bound to be difficult not because of reality, remember, but because of your mind. - Osho

And on and on and on and on and....

In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on. – Robert Frost

What are you waiting for? Jump.

You've been walking in circles, searching. Don't drink by the water's edge. Throw yourself in. Become the water. Only then will your thirst end. - Jeanette Berson

Drive. Just drive.

Who lives sees much. Who travels sees more. – Arab proverb

Free will? or freeing your will?

Journeys, like artists, are born and not made. A thousand differing circumstances contribute to them, few of them willed or determined by the will-whatever we may think. – Lawrence Durrell

Exploring Your Life

Like all explorers, we are drawn to discover what's out there without knowing yet if we have the courage to face it. – Pema Chodron
